The first experiences I had was with the Texas Education network called TENET. It was totally text based in those days. I also used Compuserve and AOL. The compuserve did not have the local modem service that AOL in my area.  Computer graphics were very basic.

 Ever since those early days, I have been trying to find ways to use technology to help improve by teaching or at least make my job easier. I was a band director, using the computer as a communication tool helped to make things go smoother.
